International: India has officially announced a boycott of Turkey, China and Azerbaijan

Following recent diplomatic tensions, India has officially announced a boycott of Turkey, China, and Azerbaijan.

The move comes in response to inflammatory remarks made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who expressed strong support for Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. Calling Pakistan a “brotherly nation,” Erdogan comments drew sharp criticism from Indian citizens, who viewed them as interference in South Asia’s internal affairs.

Simultaneously, China’s and Azerbaijan’s has also issued statement supporting Pakistan. Both countries issued statements backing Pakistan’s position during the conflict, leading to a diplomatic rift. In response, Indian citizens have called for boycotting Chinese products and Azerbaijani goods, reflecting a broader sentiment of disapproval towards these nations’ stances

India has suspended travel arrangements with Turkey and Azerbaijan, potentially impacting the $10.4 billion trade partnership between India and these countries. Additionally, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has urged the government to ban the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, citing concerns over national unity and security. In light of these developments, India is recalibrating its foreign policy and tightening its stance against nations.
