The Making of Harry Potter in Tokyo will be an experience like the one taking place outside of London. Fans of the saga will be able to see some of the sets from the saga films, such as the Great Dining Hall, the Forbidden Forest and Diagon Alley, as well as costumes and props. Artifacts related to the Fantastic Beasts saga will also be on display.
Two Tokyo stations will undergo an enchanted transformation to allow wizards and witches to reach Hogwarts from the Japanese capital.
These are Toshimaen and Ikebukuro stations.
Platforms 1 and 2 at Ikebukuro Station will be completely renovated to look like London's King's Cross Station, and it's from here that travelers will begin their journey to the making of Harry Potter in Tokyo, including the opening is scheduled for 2023.
Toshimaen Station will be the closest station to Harry Potter Studios, and its design will be inspired by Hogsmeade, the closest station to Hogwarts.
The refurbishment of the stations is due to be completed in the spring of 2023, just in time for the opening of The Making of Harry Potter film.
The attraction will be located on an area of approximately 30,000 square meters on the grounds of Toshimaen Amusement Park in Nerima-Ku, which closed in 2020.
