Twenty Four airports located near India’s border with Pakistan have been temporarily closed due to the escalating security situation.
After tensions between India and Pakistan escalated sharply on Thursday evening following Pakistani drone and missile attack targeting regions in Jammu, Punjab, and Rajasthan. In response to heightened security threats, India has temporarily shut down operations at 24 airports across northern and western regions. The lists are:

- Ludhiana
- Bhuntar
- Kishengarh
- Patiala
- Shimla
- Kangra – Gaggal
- Bathinda
- Jaisalmer
- Jodhpur
- Bikaner
- Halwara
- Pathankot
- Jammu
- Leh
- Mundra
- Jamnagar
- Hirasa (Rajkot)
- Porbandar
- Keshod
- Kandla
- Bhuj
Airlines have issued alerts advising passengers to arrive at least three hours before departure. Security has been heightened across airports nationwide.
All passengers at all airports will undergo a Secondary Ladder Point Check (SLPC). Visitor entry into terminal buildings has been banned, and Air Marshals will be deployed accordingly.
