In a significant diplomatic gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded the ‘Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana’, the highest civilian honour of the Republic of Ghana. The award was conferred by President John Dramani Mahama, recognizing Prime Minister Modi’s exemplary leadership, statesmanship, and his influence on global affairs.
While accepting the award, Prime Minister Modi expressed deep gratitude and humbly dedicated the honour to the 1.4 billion citizens of India. He highlighted that the recognition reflects not just his efforts, but the collective aspirations of India’s youth, the richness of its cultural heritage, and the vibrant democratic values the country upholds.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the historical and enduring ties between India and Ghana, which are rooted in shared values, cooperation, and mutual respect.
