Human trafficking between the Indian Ocean and the Middle East: four Pakistanis from Mauritius arrested.

As reported by Dawn, the FIA arrested four Pakistanis at Karachi airport after their deportation from the UAE, where they were convicted of human smuggling and the flesh trade. The suspects — Bakhtiar, Adnan Ashraf, Mohammed Jamshed, and Sikander Abbas — were taken to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell for further investigation.

In a separate case, the FIA also detained eight passengers returning from Mauritius and Cambodia for questioning.
As reported by Dawn, four of the individuals arriving from Mauritius — Mohammed Shoaib, Zaheer Abbas, Mohammed Husain, and Asif Sohail — were allegedly in contact with human traffickers.
The other four were believed to be victims of cyber scams. They were lured to Cambodia under the pretense of job offers but were instead sold to illegal companies and forced into online scamming operations. Rescued and repatriated on emergency passports, the individuals are now assisting authorities in identifying the traffickers who sent them abroad.
