Indian security agencies have uncovered an extensive espionage network operating under the direction of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in a series of coordinated operations across multiple states. As of now, 11 individuals have been arrested on charges ranging from espionage and facilitating cross-border smuggling to aiding enemy operations. Among those arrested are a businessman, a YouTuber and a student, all accused of spying and assisting Pakistan in its covert activities against India.
The network reportedly used mobile apps and jail inmates to gather and transmit sensitive information. Some of the accused individuals are said to have received monetary compensation for their involvement in espionage. The case sheds light on the sophisticated tactics employed by such networks, leveraging digital communication tools and contacts within prison systems to undermine national security and conduct covert operations against India.
