During his visit to INS Vikrant in the Arabian Sea on May 30, 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh delivered a firm message to Pakistan, underlining the strength and preparedness of the Indian Navy.
Reflecting on the recently conducted Operation Sindoor, Singh stated that if the Navy had been fully engaged alongside other military branches, the outcome for Pakistan could have been far more devastating — possibly resulting in the country’s fragmentation into four parts. He drew parallels with the Navy’s crucial contribution during the 1971 war, commending its swift deployment and operational excellence. Singh highlighted the Navy’s central role in neutralising threats and reaffirmed its importance in safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
Operation Sindoor involved a precise and rapid response by Indian naval forces, including aircraft carrier groups and submarines, leading to the destruction of nine terrorist camps with minimal collateral damage. Singh also praised the role of women in the armed forces, noting their participation in both combat and endurance missions. The visit reinforced India’s commitment to maintaining a robust and agile military, ready to protect the nation’s security at all times.
