The third edition of the India-Mauritius Friendship Cricket Cup concluded today with a thrilling game and a joyous closing ceremony. The Friendship Cup-2025 celebrated the enduring friendship between the two countries. The tournament, which began in 2023, continues to showcase the timeless values of teamwork, esprit de corps, resilience, and unity.



Over the past few weekends, eight teams competed on the pitch. Participating teams included IndianOil Mauritius Ltd., State Bank of India Mauritius Ltd, the US Embassy, MTML, Bank of Baroda Mauritius, the Indian Business Council, Mauritius XI, and the High Commission of India. Following the final match, Mauritius XI emerged as the champions, and the High Commission of India stood as runners-up.



The prize ceremony was graced by Hon. Dhananjay Ramful, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration & International Trade; Hon. Eileen Karen Lee Chin Foo Kune-Bacha, Junior Minister of Youth and Sports; Hon. Chitraduthsing Lukeeram, Member of Parliament; Shri Anurag Srivastava; High Commissioner of India; and other dignitaries.
The event sets the tone for further collaboration in fostering the cricket culture in Mauritius and to further enhancing the sporting ties between the countries.
