Baltimore Bridge update: Body of 6th construction worker retrieved from Patapsco River

The body of the sixth and final missing victim slain in the Baltimore Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse has been found, police announced Tuesday.

Unified Command rescue teams located José Mynor López, 37, of Baltimore, on Tuesday. According to authorities, his family has been alerted.

In a statement, Col. Roland Butler, Jr., superintendent of the Maryland Department of State Police said: "With heavy hearts, today marks a significant milestone in our recovery efforts and providing closure to the loved ones of the six workers who lost their lives in this tragic event."

López was among six construction workers murdered in the event. The crew were patching potholes on a bridge span when the container ship Dali collided with one of the Key Bridge piers on March 26, causing it to collapse. Two other employees survived the tragedy.

Butler identified the five other individuals murdered in the collapse as Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval, Carlos Daniel Hernandez Estrella, and Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez.
