After a horrific rescue from a home in Laos, 16 moon bear babies are adjusting to their new life at a sanctuary, where they will need lifelong care.
Laos police said they seized a residence with more than a dozen young bears and transported them to an animal sanctuary for recovery after hearing their agonising cries.
At the refuge run by a wildlife conservation NGO, a team of experts from Laos, Cambodia, and Australia has been caring for the cubs around the clock.
The cubs will not be able to be released into the wild because they were nurtured by people.
