Photographers across the United States captured the intensity of this week's Full Moon, sometimes known as the Pink Moon.
April's full Moon, known as the Pink Moon, rose on Tuesday night and remained visible in the night sky until the end of the week.
For those on the U.S. East Coast, the Moon rose at approximately 7:49 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
Those in the West had to wait a few hours for the full Moon to appear in the night sky, which rose about 4:48 p.m. PT on the Pacific Coast.
This Moon is recognised by a variety of names among Native American tribes and cultures around the world.
The Maine Farmers' Almanack adopted Native American names for full moons in the 1930s.
The Pink Moon is named after the herb moss pink, also known as creeping phlox, a plant endemic to the eastern United States.
This pink flower may indicate the arrival of spring. The April full Moon is also known as the Egg Moon, Fish Moon, and Sprouting Grass Moon.
The Hebrew calendar refers to it as the Passover or Pesach Moon.
