A propane tank explosion at a restaurant in the western Turkish city of Izmir on Sunday killed five people and injured 63 others on Sunday, according to authorities.
Security cameras captured footage of the explosion, which wrecked the street and caused minor damage to nearby buildings.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on social media that dozens of rescue workers were quickly deployed to the location.
Izmir Governor Suleyman Elban visited the injured in the hospital and said that 40 had already been released. Authorities have detained one man who may be responsible.
On Saturday, the worker replaced the old propane tank with a new one.
