Asim Munir, Pakistan’s new Army Field Marshal, is once again all over the internet, and for all the wrong reasons. Munir has been trolled by netizens for gifting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a purported photo of Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
The twist?
The image wasn’t from any Pakistani military operation—it was actually a 2019 Chinese rocket artillery drill.
Instead of showcasing an authentic display of Pakistan’s military achievements, the leadership chose a publicly available stock photo of Chinese rocket systems from defense websites and passed it off as a symbol of their strength.
Meanwhile, while India carried out Operation Sindoor—a precise and retaliatory military operation following the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack—Pakistan’s response appears to have been little more than a JPEG!
